My leather portfolio is completed. The leather smith had two goes at it and in the meantime fingered my canvas prints with his filthy mitts punished by years of work. The prints on canvas were in danger of thumb marks.

We sat at at the roadside with translators who drifted in from the street. It was hot and flies settled on my feet and the pavement slanted down at a strange angle. I wanted a book type portfolio to replace the airport luggage the guy had come up with based on my design. Yes I had made a mistake but it worked in my favour. Why not a leather book like cover studded with leather straps to keep it all in place ?
